Reflections of the Launch Party

We made our editorial debut among dozens of local families, businesses and organizations at Aim High Park on Saturday.

The launch party was our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to everyone who came on-board to kick-start our new venture. By inviting our contributors, advertisers and community partners, along with their children and family members; I believe we were able to give everyone a special afternoon of simple fun with the chance to get a first look at the final result.

Thank you to Aim High Park for being our party host. I believe it was the best setting for our big reveal because of their large facility and all the right play areas to bring out the kid in all of us. I don’t think it’s possible to bounce on a trampoline or try out the giant, red slide and not get excited.

A special thanks to all of the Aim High Park’s staff for helping us throughout the event. They made everything incredibly accommodating. We truly appreciated the extra hands and hospitality! And thank you to EVERYONE who helped us with special gifts of gratitude with our door prizes and loot bags. We received a lot of appreciation – AND SMILES – and that’s because of you.

With the party complete, the publication will be making its way around Fort McMurray starting this weekend at Fort McMurray Tourism’s Fall Show & Market. Dawn Booth is the Editor-in-Chief of YMM Parent Magazine and Your McMurray Magazine. She has actively worked in the Wood Buffalo region's media industry since residing in Fort McMurray in 2007.
