Brianna House is a competitive dancer for Generation Dance Studio. She dances 16 hours a week, tutors dance students and has completed Level 5 in the Society of Russian Ballet.

“I dance because it’s an outlet, and it’s really fun to do. It’s a great form of exercise. My favourite style is Musical Theatre or Hip Hop,” she said.

Brianna balances her position on the Mayor’s Advisory Council on Youth, membership of the Headstrong mental health awareness group, and her Advanced Placement academic expectations exceptionally.

“I am able to show that there is an artistic side to things and an academic to everything – being able to multitask is important to me. I am driven by my future. I want to look back and be like: “Wow, I was able to accomplish that,” and that’s great for me,” she explained.

Along with dancing, Brianna plays basketball, baseball, tennis, badminton, and does downhill skiing. Volunteering is one of her passions; she volunteers annually for the Festival of Trees and for Street Clean Ups.

In the future, Brianna aspires to be an anesthesiologist.
